DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 92021 Automatic Tank Level Gauge is a float actuated tape driven gauge and by means of a digital counter indicates float travel accurately to 1/16 inch. Model 92021 meets all the specifications and recommendations of the American Petroleum Institute in accordance with API Bulletin 2509B.
This Automatic Tank Gauge comes equipped with the Acutrak 90™ modular cartridge kit. The kit consists of a spring motor drum, a power hub and a stainless steel constant power spring. The cartridge and tape drum are constructed of RYTON®, a specially engineered polymer that offers outstanding chemical resistance, mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. Also included in the tank gauge is an accurately perforated stainless steel tape. Bearing loads are well distributed through Teflon bushings rotating on polished stainless steel shafts.
Local readout is by means of a digital counter featuring large black numerals on a white background. Remote reading is added by simply removing the counter housing cover, installing a 2″ coupling and bolting a transmitter in place of the counter housing cover. Gauge calibration is quick and easy . . . loosen screws and swing open access plate; then simply rotate large inch wheel until counter wheels are set. This is the fastest and most positive calibration available on any float actuated counter type gauge.
Choice of materials, rugged construction and counter housing sealed from gauge head permits application of the gauging system to a wide variety of environmental conditions. An operational checker for manually jogging the tape to insure a “free movement” system is standard on gauge head as well as provisions for optional high and low level limit switches. A hand crank for manually raising and lowering the float is also optional.
Complete accessory kits are available for all standard and most special tank configurations and cover abroad selection of materials.

DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 92030 Automatic Tank Level Gauge is a float actuated tape driven gauge. Through the use of digital counters float travel is accurately indicated to 1/16 of an inch over the entire tank range.
Model 92030 is designed for high pressure applications such as 150 psig and 300 psig. To provide local digital read out a unique magnetic drive is incorporated. This magnetic drive prevents high pressure and hazardous vapors from entering the counter housing.
Many outstanding features are included, such as a standard operational checker for ensuring a “free” working system. Provisions for high and low limit switches or simple coupling of a level transmitter for remote transmission, or a hand crank for manually raising the float is available.
To complete a gauging system, additional accessory items are necessary; these are available in “kit” forms and are designed to fit most tank configurations.

L&J Engineering has once again revolutionized the Transmitter market with its latest edition of the MCG 2000 Transmitter, the MCG 2000MAX. The MCG 2000MAX uses L&J’s patented absolute magnetic encoding to provide the greatest accuracy ever offered in the history of transmitters with 1/32 of an inch standard and with 1/64 of an inch accuracy as an available option. The reliability of the new MCG 2000MAX is also greatly increased over the previous generation of transmitters due to the huge reduction in the number of parts used.
Ultra Low Power / Cost Effective
The Industry has spoken, and demanded an ultra-low power 2-wire, 4-20mA, 24VDC Loop-Powered version of the MCG 2000 and L&J has delivered with the MCG 2000MAX. The MCG 2000MAX uses a newly redesigned CPU board which greatly reduces the number of components on the board, which greatly reduces power consumption as well as cost. All of the existing and future communication protocols are still supported with this new version as well. This new ultra-low power transmitter is perfect for wireless applications in which the MCG 2000MAX can be powered via battery, or standard line power.

The MCG 2000MAX now has an expanded range of 0-128 feet. By using absolute magnetic encoding the number of parts required is greatly lowered in turn providing unmatched reliability. Just as with the previous generations of MCG 2000’s the MCG 2000MAX is completely unaffected by power failures in your tank farm without the use of batteries. When power is restored the transmitter will accurately reflect the current level, even if it has changed, without the need for additional calibration.
Graphical LCD Display w/ Infrared Calibration
The MCG 2000MAX utilizes a brand new local graphical LCD display which has the ability to display up to 10X more information than the previous 2×16 character LCD display used on previous generations of the MCG 2000. As with all the L&J’s state of the art level gauging solutions, the MCG 2000MAX can be configured via infrared technology by using the MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator without violating explosion proof environments.
Smart Flash Technology
As with all of L&J Engineering’s level gauging products, the MCG 2000MAX uses Smart Flash Technology to allow the end user to “Flash” updates to the transmitter if necessary.

DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 92302 Liquid Level Indicator is a reliable float actuated level gauging system. It is designed to provide reliable and virtually trouble-free service for installation not requiring accuracies better than ±1 inch.
Shand & Jurs provides as standard, rugged aluminum or redwood indicator boards. 316 Stainless Steel boards and mounting hardware also available. Graduations are in feet and inches or meters and decimeters, large black numerals make readout highly visible from a distance. Half or third travel indicator boards are offered for special installations, such as underground tanks. Outage (reverse reading), volumetric and custom marked boards available.
To simplify ordering and installation, Shand & Jurs provides complete installation kits for redwood and aluminum indicator boards. Complete kit includes float, brackets, clamps, anchor bar, target, sheaves, guide wire spring assembly, guide wire and liquid seal when required.
The choice of material selection for kits permits installation in a variety of environmental conditions. To provide a vapor tight installation and protect the gauge board from corrosive tank vapors, a standard liquid seal is available. Shand & Jurs also offers JB3704 Limit Switches to actuate high and low level alarms, provide pump control or other signaling functions.

DESCRIPTION
Over the years Shand & Jurs has provided the marine industry with more float-type gauges than any other manufacturer. Level measurement instruments operating on bulk carriers, product carriers, crude carriers, chemical carriers, ore/bulk/oil carriers, and LNG carriers provide us with the expertise required for the safe handling of liquids for today’s tankers.

To meet these requirements Shand & Jurs provides the Model 92051 Marine Tank Level Gauge, the most accurate, reliable and maintenance free float gauge ever.
The Model 92051 allows consistent, accurate and reliable gauging of cargo tanks. It’s unmatched accuracy over its entire 120 foot measuring range makes this gauge ideal for loading, topping off, discharge and ballasting operations. No special requirements are necessary for mounting; it mounts directly on deck or trunk. Clearance for compact float and guide wires or properly vented stilling well are the only requirements.
The Model 92051 provides for local direct readout through the use of digital counters. Numerals are large and clearly visible through a heavy sealed sight window. Readings are in feet and inches to 1/16 inch increments; meters and millimeters or decimal feet. Remote transmission can be accomplished by simply mounting a level transmitter to the gauge counter housing.
Following the gauging operation it is necessary to raise the float to a locked position safely beneath the level gauge. This is accomplished using a removable ratchet-type float lifter.

Easy Retrofit Capability
The MCG 2420’s versatile design allows it to be easily installed into existing applications. The MCG 2420 can easily couple to the Shand & Jurs Model 92302 Liquid Level Indicator. The MCG 2420 can also couple to the Varec 6700 Liquid Level Indicator. Depending on which option is chosen, the MCG 2420 will come with the appropriate adapter kit for that specific liquid level indicator.

Accuracy
The MCG 2420 is a cost-saving and easy-to-install transmitter. It can display level with a resolution of 1/32″ (standard) for up to 128 feet of product. Data can be read via an optional remote LCD display or transmitted directly back to a control room. The remote display can be mounted tankside or in a remote location. Changes in liquid level are output to a 4-20 mA and/or digital signal.

The Shand & Jurs Model 92500 Retrofit Gauge is specifically designed to replace existing Varec Model 2500 Gauges and GSI 2500 Model in existing installations. The Shand & Jurs 92500 allows for improvement in accuracy while minimizing field labor to replace existing gauges.
Shand & Jurs design allows for a simple retrofit onto existing gauge piping in ground reading installations. Absolutely no piping modifications are necessary, allowing for easy replacement of Varec or GSI Gauges. Future field service and maintenance is reduced due to the 92500’s improved design over existing gauges.
The Shand & Jurs Model 92500 meets or exceeds the Varec or GSI stated accuracy for the existing installation. Since the 92500 is equipped with the Acutrak 90™ Modular Cartridge, gauging accuracy and ease of maintenance with respect to existing systems improves.

DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 93376 Semi-Automatic Tank Gauge and Sampling Lock has been designed as an intermediate step between hand gauging and fully automatic tank gauging. The inherent inaccuracy of hand gauges led to the design of this tank gauge, which entirely eliminates the human element in the sequence of lowering the tape and bob to the bottom of the tank in order to obtain an “innage” reading.
In this gauge, a hollow bob is used in place of the conventional plump bob. A spring mechanism is adjusted against the weight of the hollow bob so that when the bob touches the tank bottom or datum plate, payout of the tape is automatically stopped and the tape is kept under constant tension, preventing tipping of the bob or overshooting the gauge. By substituting a sampling bob for the hollow bob and locking the spring mechanism, the device becomes a sampling lock.
The Model 93376 is available in cast steel (for working pressures up to 125 lbs.) Other materials are available upon request. A rubber plug closure valve, which can be closed on the gauge tape, is used between the gauge and the tank to isolate the gauge head from the tank vapor space during gauging operations. A gate valve under the rubber plug closure valve is recommended for all working pressures above 10 lbs., to permit inspection of the unit.

DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 93421 Tape or Cable Block Valve is utilized in Automatic Level Gauging Systems to isolate the pressure source from the gauge head for inspection, and service of the gauging system without reducing tank pressure, or in installations where it is necessary to close a valve on a flat tape or cable. Should the action of product turbulence cause the tape to break, the cable block valve offers a cable catcher that stops the tape at the tape-cable junction. The tape cable assembly is replaceable without depressurizing or emptying the tank during tank filling, when breakage is seen.
The valve is supplied with 2″ flat faced flanges on the aluminum body and raised face flanges on a cast steel body. The 300 pound raised face flanges have eight ½” diameter mounting holes and the 150 pound has four ½” diameter mounting holes. Flange gaskets and hardware are not included with the valves. Adapter flange available for 1 ½” NPT connections.
The valve is normally used in the open position and closed only when required. To close, firmly screw handle clockwise. The Teflon tube inside the housing, presses firmly against both sides of the tape or cable. To open, screw handle fully counterclockwise. The handle makes approximately 1 ½ turns from the closed to open position.

DESCRIPTION
The Shand & Jurs Model 93603 Liquid Seal is used with liquid level gauges to retain tank vapor space pressure and vacuum. It is also used as a barrier to protect the gauge head from corrosive tank vapors or other effects. The construction of the liquid seal features aluminum housings, galvanized iron pipe, Delrin tape pulleys that rotate on Teflon bearings and stainless steel shafts.
The 93603 requires a relatively simple installation. The seal assembly is installed within a piping configuration that runs from the top of the tank, along the side, to the bottom.
